Hello everyone and welcome to my new blog! It’s all about saving energy and money while saving our planet.

We have just one earth, so it’s important that we take good care of it.

We can all do our share by living green and using as few natural resources as possible while still enjoying everything life has to offer.

This blog is still evolving but I’m confident that it’ll be a fantastic resource once it’s completely organized and I settle down into a routine of providing a steady stream of helpful ideas, resources, energy saving tips.

If you’ve ever wanted to live green but felt that it would be too costly or that you’d have to give up too many things and activities you enjoy, then you have an outdated view about what living green is all about.

Saving energy (and money) isn’t very difficult, however, many people struggle with figuring out what they can do as individuals to help the environment without sacrificing their way of life.

In the days, weeks, months, and years to follow, I plan to share energy saving tips that also save you money. I’ve already been using many of those tips and hints for the past 30 years.

I’ll also bring you the latest energy conservation innovations by scouring the internet as well as pouring through print and broadcast media for cost effective green living solutions that work!

Let’s face it. Most people won’t change their lifestyle unless there’s an incentive for them to do so. Sure, some will do it simply for the sake of the planet. But not enough are that altruistic to make a serious dent in the ecological damage humans do to the environment every single day.

My approach is to give everyone an economic reason to adjust their lifestyle that are as beneficial to the environment as it is to their bank account. That’s why I focus on energy saving ideas that don’t just cost—they pay!

You’ll learn how to save energy and money in every aspect of your life. You’ll save on:

• Heating and cooling your home
• Driving your car
• In the kitchen
• Even using your computer!

There are literally thousands of ways to save energy and money! If you adopt just a handful and use them every single day, you’ll make a mighty contribution to creating a cleaner and healthier environment for everyone. To borrow a phrase, you get to live green and $ave green!!

Who Is “The Green Guy?”

I’m an entrepreneur and professional writer. I use the pen name “The Green Guy” so I don’t confuse my existing audience.

But the fact is I’ve wanted to write about green living for over 30 years. I first started collecting energy saving tips and ideas when I was only 22 years old. That was long before the Internet was even a gleam in anyone’s eye. Everything was done by snail mail.

I wrote a letter (remember those?) to every federal and state agency (yes, all 50 states) that had a conservation program of any kind and collected their public domain tips. It took years of effort, but I collected over 1,000 tips, tricks, and tweaks for saving money while saving energy at the same time.

I recently dusted off that old collection of ideas, updated and modified it with today’s information using the power of the Internet and eMail.

Soon it’s going to be published in a brand new book called, 1,001 Energy Saving Ideas! How to Save Energy and Money While Saving the Planet”.

In addition, I’m going to publish everything I know about green living here on my blog in hopes of convincing a large number of you to make both big and small changes in the way you think about and use energy.

The less energy we use, the less we must import from unstable foreign sources, and the more money we have to spend right here in our own economy. It’s good for the planet, good for the country, and good for you too!
